Focus on ... Healing Childhood Wounds
So many issues presented to therapists
have their source in Significant Emotional
Experiences which took place early in
life and quite often the therapy process
concerns healing the wounds of childhood.
Most people, in my experience, are imbalanced in some way as a
result of significant emotional experiences in childhood (perhaps as many as 96% of us). It appears that
only a few people have been fortunate enough to enjoy a truly functional
childhood.
Family dynamics can often be dysfunctional, in some cases
abusive, and the woundedness that results from this contaminates our adult
lives. The child is, indeed, the father of the man. Persistent
problems such as addiction, depression, troubled relationships, physical
illness, anxiety states and panic attacks, phobias, lack of confidence, eating
problems, etc to name just a few, can all connect back to childhood and
adolescent factors.
Hypnotherapy and EFT offer a
change to heal childhood wounds, neutralise negative emotions and transform your
life, bringing a sense of balance inside you and perhaps also a sense of joy in
life.
Inner Child Therapy
I also use Inner Child therapy, a
beautiful form of nurturing and healing the child inside. How you respond
to the world is probably a reflection on how your Inner Child is feeling - help
him or her to feel good, safe and secure and you too will function as a balanced
adult feeling positive, confident and safe.
Re-birthing
Sometimes the process of being born can
have a profound effect on us throughout our lives, without even realising how
much impact it has had upon us. Both our bodies and our sub-conscious
minds remember clearly the trauma of birth and re-experiencing our birth process
in hypnosis, using regression, can be a liberating and life-enhancing
experience.
Guided safely through our birth by a
skilled therapist, it is possible to release locked in feelings and emotions
that have been holding us back and which have prevented us from living life
fully and joyously. By re-birthing it is also possible to release physical
illness which may have been caused by birth traumas. It may sound a bit
spooky, but it really is a rejuvenating experience.
Remember - it's never
too late to start enjoying your childhood !
